Jo Ellen Wilson Callison, 81, of Lumberton, formerly of Port Acres, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at River City Hospice. She was born on April 3, 1930 to Joe and Adele Norris in Port Arthur. Jo Ellen was a retired dispatcher for the Port Arthur Police Department and a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. She was very involved with her church volunteering in any capacity needed. She was also a member of the Altar Society of Little Flower. Jo Ellen was a retired dispatcher for the Port Arthur Police Department and a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Dale Callison; brother, L.J. Norris; sister, Audrey Guidry; brother-in-law, Paul Guidry and a niece, Linda Norris.
Her survivors include her son, Michael Wilson and wife Patrice of Lumberton; sister-in-law, Connie Norris of Port Acres; 5 grandchildren, Lori Wilson Courts, Richard Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jamie Wilson Jennusa, Jason Williams and 6 great grandchildren.
A gathering of her family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas.
