JoAnn Marunowski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 25, 2016.

JoAnn Marunowski, 71, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in
Seabrook, TX after a courageous battle with cancer for over 2 years. She was
born on July 19, 1945 in Cleveland, OH to Stephen and Stefania Konco.

JoAnn was married to the love of her life, Tim, for over 51 years. JoAnn's passion
and profession was her family. She was a homemaker that served her family and
community in countless ways; teacher's assistant, Girl Scout leader, Safety Town
director and other roles. After raising her children, she and Tim embarked on
many adventures that included travels throughout the US and Europe. Some of
their favorite times were spent in nature while visiting beautiful parks in their RV.
Their adventure and joy continued to increase with the addition of grandchildren
and JoAnn always looked forward to family times together. She was a beautiful
woman of strong faith and the light of Christ shined in all she did. Her joyous,
fun-loving and kind heart will be greatly missed.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Stefania Konco;
brothers Joseph Konco and Steven Billy. She is survived by her devoted and loving
husband, Timothy Marunowski; daughter Lisa and husband Jim Hamilton,
daughter Kim and husband Bret Trammell and son Robert Marunowski and wife
Angela. JoAnn was known as "Gammy" to her grandchildren; Jacob, Jill & John
Hamilton, Ryan Rice, Olivia & Mario Andrade, Samantha Trammell, Megan, Sarah, Jared &
Kaylee Marunowski, Cameron & Benjamin Egdorf. She is also survived by sisters
Mary Ann Schwartz and Delores Bowers as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of JoAnn's life will be held on Tuesday, November 29th at the Forest
Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Visitation will
be held at 11:30AM and the memorial service will follow at 12:30PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donating to the American Cancer Society,

Dear Tim & Family:

JoAnn lit up all of our lives just by her presence and beautiful smile. She was not only a niece, but a true friend to our family and mother, Ann Greitzer, who thought the world of her. Thank you for the photo tribute. It brought back so many memories of family get-togethers and reunions in Cleveland. We loved her and will miss her. Our prayers and deepest condolences. Love always, Carol, Nancy, Jean and Betty.
