I knew Joan through the Glastonbury Exchange Club. As one of the original women members, she was always supportive and welcoming to all new female members. When asked to be president for the club, she encouraged me, and throughout the past year, she always made me feel good about the work that I was doing for Exchange.
Every time I would see her, she made me smile. I will miss her.

Dear Jane, Deb and Family,
I was so sad to hear of your Mom's passing when Mary called me on Sunday. She had been on my mind and in my prayers all week.
She was an Amazing Lady with, as you know, a Strong Spirit. In our chats, the one thing that was always evident, is that She LOVED All Of You Very Much and spoke of you all with always caring, loving words.
For me, she quickly became more than a client to me. She was like my second Mom/Grandma. I could never refuse any little extra task she asked for and even some she didn't ask for-- like bringing up things upstairs, so she wouldn't have to, and just anything else that I could do to make things easier for her, etc. She would always show her appreciation and I was just Happy to help.
She would speak a lot about her times in Florida and The Cape,as a kid and how much being near the water just made things Better for her. Even the last time we saw her, she told us about a boat trip your uncle took her on, after your Dad passed away, and how the water was calming for her.
Having seen her the day before your trip to the Cape, she seemed so Happy to be able to go. I found and may you find Comfort that she was able to go to the ocean that she Loved so very much.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this most difficult time.
Love,
Patti
