Joanne H. Kilburg

Joanne H. Kilburg, 86, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Ave., West Des Moines, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Joanne was born on July 11, 1927 in Dubuque, Iowa to Joseph and Bertha Hamel. She married Arnold M. Kilburg on June 7, 1952. Arnold passed away on January 30, 2014.
Joanne enjoyed gardening, cooking, needlepoint and volunteering. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Joanne is survived by her daughter, Hope (Richard) Hensley; two sons, Terry (Carol) Kilburg and Eric (Mary Anne) Kilburg; eight grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian Hensley, Jason and Paul (Cristina) Kilburg, Angela, Monica, Daniel, and Theresa Kilburg; two sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Green and Shirley Ford; two brothers, Bill (Sharon) Hamel and Tom (Jeanne) Hamel.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
