Joaquin "Jake" Santos Aguilar age 78, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 27. He was born in Jaen, Philippines in 1935. "Jake" lived a full wonderful life, having served 20 years and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was most proud to be a Vietnam Vet, he also retired with 21 years Civil Service as a Supply Agent for NAS-Jax. "Dad" is survived by his children Adalina- VA, Julie-VA, Lisa- FL, BeeBee-FL, Eric-FL and Jennifer-FL. As "Papa" he had 10 grandchildren and 4 greatgrands. He had 2 loving sisters in the Philippines; Neddie and ODonna along with their children. As "Kuya or Tito" he leaves a clan of close friends and loved ones. Viewing and Blessings will be held on Wednesday, April 2 from 10 am – 12 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205 904-781-9262 www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com . An escorted procession will lead "Jake" and friends and family to the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 4083 Lannie Road, where he will be laid to rest after a service at 1:30 pm. Memorial donations to the family are welcome in lieu of flowers to benefit San Agustin Parish Church, Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
