Everyone's life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Joaquin was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Joaquin will be remembered as an exceptional person.

Joaquin's life journey began on March 23, 1933. He first greeted the world in Guam. His parents' were Joaquin Castro and Dolores Taimanglo Cepeda. He was raised with five siblings Felixberto, Rosa C., Ester C, Maria C., and Raymundo. Joaquin was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his family sharing many life experiences over the years.

Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Joaquin experienced that with Teresita Priscilla Camacho and the couple exchanged wedding vows on October 17, 1957. The wedding took place at St. Joseph Church in Inarajan Guam. Empathic and loyal, Joaquin was committed to making his new family happy.

While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Joaquin was blessed with four children Kenny, Danny, Nelvin and Arlene. Joaquin worked hard to be a good father to his children and did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Joaquin was blessed with the gift three granddaughters, one great grandson and one great granddaughter.

How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Joaquin enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Joaquin worked diligently and did his best to succeed in each of his jobs. Joaquin was enlisted in the United States Navy for 20 years. He was also employed for the Lakeside School District for 20 years.

A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Joaquin enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including bowling and spending much time with his family. He was usually willing to share his interests with others.
