Joe Olian Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2018.

Joseph "Joe" Bert Olian, 73, passed away January 29, 2018, in Dallas, Texas, after a long (but strong) battle with Alzheimer's.

Joe was born March 25, 1944 in Bryan College Station, to Edward and Tiby Olian.

Joe graduated from his beloved alma matter, The University of Texas in 1975, where he made numerous, deep, friendships - including his fraternal brothers of Tau Delta Phi. After college Joe went on to serve in the Texas National Guard.

Joe worked for many years, across numerous facets of the beverage industry – with the pinnacle of his career being his time spent as Vice President of Sales at Snapple – where he was known by his coworkers for his kind and gregarious demeanor.

The highlight of Joe's life were his friends and family – from his immediate family, to his numerous cousins, extending on to friends who he viewed as family – with his immense love for those around him being what he will be most known and remembered for.

Joe is survived by his children, Jennifer Olian and Meredith Teplin (Olian), his ex-wife Maggi Olian, his brother Maurice Olian and his cousin (who's like a sister) Sondra Slade. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Tiby Olian and his beloved uncle, Phil Olian.

Services will be held Wednesday January 31 at 12:30 pm at Temple Emanu-El, in Dallas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Dallas or the North Texas Food Bank.
