Joe Barron Obituary

Joe Barron passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2013 at 6:30am. at home surrounded by loving family. Joe was born in Sopris, Colorado on June 28, 1929 and was the youngest of three children born to Cirilo and Concepcion R. Barron. Joe is survived by his two older sisters Mary Cruz Barron and Frances B. Abad. And many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother.

As a young man Joe worked his way up in the Restaurant business for the famous "Brown Palace Hotel and Restaurant" in Denver, CO. He also worked in construction while buying his first home. Joe later moved to California working at various jobs.

Joe attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in San Bernardino where he was an usher, played guitar and sang for services, he also instructed the youth in playing guitar.

Joe was a man of many skills and talents he loved to play his guitars, sing in english and spanish for senior centers. He loved to create crafts, sew, paint, draw, write poem, and learn songs. He also took mechanic and typing classes. He liked taking fast walks and he loved to travel to Colorado to visit his family and friends. One of his greatest pleasures was eating out. And most of all Joe had a playful sense of humor. Joe is loved and will be remembered by many family and friends.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Joe he will be greatly missed. Joe was blessed to live a long interesting life. Psalms 90:10 says that people who live to be 80 and older have "extra strength", Joe had that extra strength may you keep those fond memories of him locked in your hearts as you seek the comfort and peace that only God can give at this time of grief.
