Obituary

Joe Roy Pullara, 86, a lifelong resident of Fountain Valley, passed away on June 11, 2014 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Joe was born on May 28, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado to Sam and Cresena (Cucharas) Pullara. He graduated from Fountain High School. Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked the majority of his life as a dairy farmer on the Pullara Ranch. He was very involved in the Catholic Church. Joe Roy Pullara, 86, a lifelong resident of Fountain Valley, passed away on June 11, 2014 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Joe was born on May 28, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado to Sam and Cresena (Cucharas) Pullara. He graduated from Fountain High School. Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked the majority of his life as a dairy farmer on the Pullara Ranch. He was very involved in the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy; sons, Frank and Joseph; grandchildren, Robertt and Kimberly Wolfe, Amber, Destiny, Thomas, and Anthony Pullara; great-grandchildren, Bradynn and Brian Wolfe, and Jewelianna Casper. He is also survived by his first wife, JoAnn Pullara.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Cresena Pullara; his brother, Sam Jr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Rocky Giannatala.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 South US Highway 85/87. A Rosary will be said at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Colorado Springs. Family and friends are welcome for a reception following the burial back at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joe's name may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
