Joe lived a long and full life. He loved his family foremost, his friends, enjoyed playing his guitar, and loved music. He served as a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a contractor in construction, and he was a perfectionist at his work. Joe expected high professional standards from those who worked for and with him. His work ethics and artistic talents remain in the many structures, walls, commercial buildings, and mobile home communities in Yuma and surrounding areas. Joes' most common saying was, "If you're going to do something, do it right, or don't do it at all!"
His first marriage to Angelina Carillo in 1945 blessed him with four children: sons, Robert D. of Tucson, Joe C. (Sandra) and Adrian D. Quintero in 1976 gave him five children: sons, Javier (Mary), Victor, and Abraham all of Yuma, AZ; and Isaac (Michelle) Quintero of Burnsville, NC; daughter, Dolores (David) Wolff of Phoenix, AZ.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Maria R. Quintero; 9 children; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
