Obituary

John "Jack" Richard Haugabook III, 80, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with The Rev. Tommy Perkins officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends following the Service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, 31210. Mr. Haugabook was born in Montezuma, Georgia, the son of the late Esther Arthur and John R. Haugabook, Jr. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he was President of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Haugabook served in the U.S. Air Force and was an insurance representative with Mass Mutual – Connecticut Mutual.

Survivors include his wife: Ann Haugabook of Macon; son, John (Sheri) R. Haugabook, IV of Macon; his daughter, Love (Manley) Fulcher of Gloucester, NC; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his brothers, Ben Haugabook, Steve Haugabook and James Haugabook; sister, Joan H. Cozart and several nieces and nephews.
