John D. "Jack" Hurckes, 62, of Chicago Ridge, passed away August 2, 2017. Cherished love and fiancé of Anita Trojanowski for 16 years; devoted father of Jackie (Eric) Cowden and Rick (Katie) Hurckes and Anita's children, Mark (fiancé Sandra) Trojanowski and Carrie (Joe) Kendra; loving and funny Pa of Alex Fiedler and Jack and Grace Hurckes and Pop Pop of Jadon and Avery Kendra and Sebastian Trojanowski; dear brother of Jim (Carol) Hurckes, Judie (the late Ron) Tatka, Joyce (Jim) Kegl, Jerry (Mary Ann) Hurckes, Joe (Laurie) Hurckes and June (Dom) DiNardo; special uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathleen (nee Dennehy) Hurckes, brother, Jeff Hurckes, and niece, Megan Hurckes. A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, on Sunday, August 6th, from 3-8 PM. Prayers will begin Monday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home and proceed to Our Lady of the Ridge Church for Mass at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Megan Hurckes Scholarship Fund, C/O Prospect Federal Savings, 11139 South Harlem Ave., Worth, IL 60482.
