I worked with Papa John and loved his stories. Of course some of my favorite memories involved animals. He didn't say no to doing a funeral for a nursery school hamster. He called early one January morning to find out if the guinea pig could swim-the church had flooded, and right before he retired he stayed a little late at the church so I could bring my new puppy, Ginny in for a blessing. Papa John was a special person that will be missed, but has touched the life of many people.
