My heart is just breaking with this tragic loss! Claudia and family, my deepest condolences and prayers are with you all! John was such a handsome American Hero, that so many people respected and looked up too! Claudia, how proud you must be of him, your son, because we and the rest of the family surely are! God gave him to you for a short 46 years but remember, John belonged to God first and evidently he needed another angel in Heaven! He will be dearly missed by so many! Claudia, I just can't begin to imagine the pain, suffering, and heartache you and your family are going through at this time! My Love, thoughts and Prayers are with you all! I wish I could ease your pain!

I am a former co worker and had the pleasure of John's mentorship. He was my 1SG while in HHC 95 CA Brigade. (Ft. I am forever grateful for my time with him. May you , his family find peace in his rest and know he made a difference.

John, it was such an honor to finally see you again, after who knows how many years...25?? You looked so happy, surrounded by your soccer friends and family members. And, as Stephanie said, we were looking forward to your party at that compound!! You no doubt had the best party ever when you arrived in heaven, with your beloved daddy waiting to greet you. Thank you for your service to our country. You were a true American hero. and you will be greatly missed!!

Reinhardt Rams!!!! Remembering the influence Mr. Helget had on me at such a young age doing his part helping young boys to grow up to be men. He definitely was a reason we are who we are today, and you my old friend were a man among men, an American Patriot, a hero. Life is full of moments. Thank you John for the moments with you that I have engrained in my memory that I can share with my children, friends, and family

God is with us. As we cry out to Him, we are reminded of His help. Psalm 61:1-4, Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
This is so hard,do seek his shelter. Love to all.
