John Roland Christian, born September 23, 1926 to the late Andrew Ernest Christian and Margaret Perry Christian in Galesburg, IL.
He was a Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific during WWII aboard submarines S45 and the Blackfin.
John graduated from Bradley University in 1956 with BS degree in engineering.
He was retired from Illinois Bell Telephone in 1981 after 33 years of service with Western Electric, Bell Labratories and ATT.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years Carolyn Christian and sons John R. Christian (Angie) of Mountain Grove, MO., Robert I. Christian of Pittsford, VT., Donald A Christian of Morristown, NJ., seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He was a member of Lighthouse International Church of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Aycock, Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home, 1170 SE Bayshore Boulevard, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. There will be a service at 11:00am.
