John Raposa, Jr. 88 of Archer Avenue, Johnston, passed away October 10, 2016 at home. He was the husband of the late Marie (DeQuattro) Raposa.

Mr. Raposa was a printer for the C.J. Fox Co. for over 40 years before retiring. He was also a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was the father of John T. Raposa and his wife Patricia, Michael Raposa and his wife Karen and Ann Marie Allaire and her husband Robert, Jr.; grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 6.

His funeral with visitation will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston. Graveside burial with military honors will in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in John's memory to the Our Lady of Grace Memorial Fund. www.romanofuneralhome.com.

Well words could never express what Popa John ment to us and how much he will be miss. Our holidays will have a void with out him but that will be ok because he will be in our hearts and prays every day.Love you Popa John and thanks for being a great father-in-law to my son Bobby and giving us a great daughter-in-law Ann. Dad, I just want to say you are going to sadly missed, I no you had your ways and I have mine and we butt heads every now and then but you no what I learned from you and you learned from me, I am going to miss the same stories you told me over and over and over again and how you watch me do my flowers and how much you loved them, I no you couldn't take much of a joke and I love kidding with you when I told you that I was painting the room purple. with a purple rug lol but saying all this you had a big part of my kids lives they love to watch tv with you judge judy, restling, to name a few movies too and Casanova how you gave him his treats every hour, how he worried about you going over the hump everyone who came into my house said they always like talking to you thank for being you DAD you will be sadly miss
