A gentleman, a scholar, a man of many interests and pursuits whether it was politics, music, history or sociology, but more importantly, a friend who would be there when you needed. John was one of the first people I met when I moved to Annapolis in 1983 and we would spend many quality hours together at Pete's Pool Hall, the Happy Buzzard or on the front porch in Annapolis. All that is most precious to me is because of John as it is he who introduced me to my wife, Patty and it was he from whom Patty and I adopted Gunther, our English Bulldog. While we didn't get to see John as frequently after his move to Virginia, Patty and I had the opportunity to spend a wonderful afternoon with he and Linda this past January. We will miss you John. With our love, Michael & Patty Tita
