John Winn Hoffman, aged 63 of Columbia, MS, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his residence. A native of Gulfport, MS, he graduated from Gulfport East High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi. He was a former owner of Cook and Fortenberry Pharmacy and a member of Improve Baptist Church.
Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. C.F. Hoffman, Jr. and Betty West Hoffman. He is survived by his wife, Becky Hoffman; his son, Wesley Hoffman; two sisters, Kay Campbell, and Pat Roeseler; a brother, Freddie (Kathy) Hoffman; four nieces, Courtnay Campbell, Erin Campbell, Grechen Longfellow, and Kimberly Hoffman; and a nephew, Charlie Hoffman.
Memorial donations may be made in John's memory to Improve Baptist Church Scenes of Christ Ministry or Improve BC Youth Fund, 2979 Hwy 44, Columbia, MS 39429 or the cancer center at USA Mitchell Institute, 300 Alumni Circle, Mobile, AL 36688.
