John Acuña, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2010. He was born in El Paso, TX on April 14, 1943 to Juan and Josefina Acuña. John graduated from Cathedral High School and UTEP, and was local businessman. John thoroughly embraced life and was a joy to all who knew him, he found friends wherever he went. He is preceded in death by his father Juan Acuña. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Luz, mother Josefina, son Rene and Amanda, daughter Diana, stepson Carlos, stepdaughter Liliana, brother Charlie and Nora, sister Sandra, 6 grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends. Family and friends will come together to celebrate his life and look forward to the day they are united again. Pallbearers: Rene Acuña, Charlie Acuña, Harvey Joseph , Carlo Acuña, Carlos Diaz, King Chee, Mike Munoz, Enrique Sarabia and Alberto Sierra. Vistiation will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 5-9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home, 3839 Montana, El Paso, TX, with a Rosary recited at 7 PM. Mass on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Cathedral. You are invited to view Mr. Acuña's online memorial tribute and sent condolences at www.mem.com.
