John Daniel Allen, Sr., 68, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Nickerson Allen for thirty-four years.
Born November 17, 1943 in Mayberry, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Clarence Ellsworth and Helen Roach Allen. Mr. Allen was a C.B. Radio Enthusiast, known as "C.K." and was retired from Archer Creek Foundry.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Allen is survived by four children, Lisa Allen of Staunton, David Scott Allen of North Carolina, John Allen, Jr. and wife, Brandy of Concord and Cathy Deaner and husband, Robert of Appomattox County; aunt, Rowena Forrester of Lynchburg and six grandchildren, Christian Goff, Jacob Allen Goff, T.J. Allen, Damien Deaner, Serenity Deaner, and James Darby Paulette Coffer.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel
