John Aragon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 13, 2012.

Our beloved John L. Aragon, Jr. left us too soon in his young life, passing away at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Salinas, California and transplanted to San Jose in 1978 his junior-high year. He attended Andrew Hill High School and received an Associates Arts degree from Evergreen Valley College. His career was as a Master Glassblower for high tech industrial lighting companies in the Santa Clara Valley for about 18 years, then transitioned to an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist within his company, Excelitas (formerly PerkinElmer) in Fremont, completing over 20 years in the industry.
John was passionate about the things he loved, most importantly his family – his parents, wife, son, siblings, cousins and many, many friends. His other passions included gourmet cooking and barbequing (favorite chefs were Rick Bayless, Bobby Flay and Daisy Martinez), playing his bass and his electric-acoustic guitar, listening to classic and progressive rock music, golfing, photography, escaping on adventures with his wife, spoiling his son, spending time with family and friends, and just relaxing at home with his dog Hunter and watching the Food Network or CNN.
John is the beloved husband of Lisa, married 24 years. They met in their 20's, dated four years and then married, sharing their love and friendship for 28 years, making their home in Morgan Hill most of those years. They have a son, Joseph Aragon who is their pride and joy and currently serving in the US Navy. Joey brought the family a wonderful wife Brittney (Matthews) Aragon whom John adored. John was always laid-back and insightful, with the best sense of humor. He would greet you with a hug and knew how to make everyone laugh with his quick wit and crazy sense of humor.
John is survived by his loving and heartbroken wife Lisa Aragon, loving son Joseph Aragon and adored daughter-in-law Brittney Aragon of Morgan Hill, his mother Marie Aragon of Madera and father John Aragon, Sr. of Madera, brother Michael Aragon (Jennifer) of Pollock Pines, Sister Cynthia Parra (Lino) of Lucerne Valley, California. John leaves his favorite Aunts, Uncles, awesome Cousins, many Nieces and Nephews, including his God daughter Michelle Parra, and a great-niece, his loving brother-in-law Kendall Young (Seattle) and sister-in-law Wendy (Scotts Valley) and their families, his many terrific friends at Excelitas and those great Darnis Circle and Leptis Circle friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill, CA then following the services at noon a gathering of family and friends at the Morgan Hill Grange at 40 E 4th St, Morgan Hill, CA 95037

January 13, 2012 changed my life forever. My beloved brother "Johnny" was chosen into eternal life. There is not a day or night that goes by he is not forgotten. He is blessed to be in eternal life no pain of cancer. He is free. Pray the rosary for "Johnny" who ever reads this memorial message. He will live with prayer of the rosary his soul lifted and his spirit lives on. Power of prayer is among us and if you do not pray you will be forgotten. God gave Johnny to his Father and Mother we all only have one Father and Mother who love you. Parents never expect their child do depart from them first into eternal life. From that moment a Father and Mother grieve for the rest of their life for their child. Prayer with the Virgin Maria her son Jesus and his adopted father Joseph they live. So my beloved brother "Johnny" I pray the rosary in honor of you everday I live. My brother I celebrate you today. Today is your Birthday to eternal life and I am a proud sister to celebrate our Birthday together. You cannot read this, but somebody who loves you and never forgets you will. "te amo hermano para siempre en mi corazon"

Hi Jr. Guess looks like another year is down and a new dawn has come and risen. Although you are not here with us in body, know that your spirit will always be with us, in our hearts you " are still with your family ". I think of you every day and have our little talks together, and I can feel that you do answer me in your own way. The memories that you gave us growing up as a little boy and into a grown man, and the courage you showed me through your illness made me a little stronger inside. As I said to you " you will always be with me " no matter how long it will take for us too be together again as father and son it will be worth the wait. I say a prayer for you every day and have kept a candle lit for you in case you need a light to find your way back home. May God bless you Johnny, and never forget us. Love you and miss you very much, your Dad John Sr.

I am sadden by the news. John and I met when attending junior high (Washington Junior High) in Salinas, then met again at Andrew Hill High School, worked together at our first job at Taco Charley, and of course Evergreen College, where he met Lisa. John was family to me and will always cherish his friendship forever. John, I know your still here, a breathe away is not far from where you are.

Johnny my bro, I love you unconditionally and the hurt in my heart will never heal. You are with me every moment that I breathe and I know you are happy but its hard for me to be. But I know you want me to be happy, so I do the best I can and think of you and whatever sadness I feel its goes away only for awhile. They say time heals, but I know my time will be when I see you again. Until then Bro I love you and miss you so damn much. God will always be with you and I'm so blessed you are my brother.
your sister, Cint.

John my brother, I will never forget you.
I wanted to talk to you today, about a recipe I made yesterday,
I picked up the phone and started to dial.
It hit me, you are with God. I knew that, and know that still. You are always in my thoughts. John my brother, I will never forget you. I will never forget.
I love you forever

JR., you've made me proud to be your Dad and you, my Son. So until then, my Love for you forever.

You left us way too soon John. We should have gone on a "photography weekend trip", I would have loved some insight on your keen eye. You inspired in me a renewed interest in photography, however I never did get much use out of my new (now old) 300mm Canon lens. I'll always think of you whenever I take a picture.

Godspeed.
