It is with an eminent feeling of loss that we announce the passing of Jack. He passed from his earthly life, surrounded by love, at his home in Chilliwack. It is with an eminent feeling of loss that we announce the passing of Jack. He passed from his earthly life, surrounded by love, at his home in Chilliwack.
Jack passed from the loving arms of his wife Donna, into the arms of his loving Father. His battle with his health started years ago. He showed us all what a true warrior he was right up to his last breath. He defied the odds, he did the work, he had the will to pull himself from the edge many times and come back with a fresh "to do list" in his hand.
Jack spent his life engaging himself in the lives of everyone he met. His heart and home have nurtured many and he was always a willing doer in the many charities and organizations that he lent his talents to over the years.
Jack was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna; his big brother, Bud; twin sister, Jill; his children, Brian, Cheryl and Jodine; his grandchildren, Kimberley, Rebeccah, Shayla, Kristina, Zach, Lucas and Fay. Jack also had many good friends, extended family members and friends who consider themselves family.
A service of remembrance of Jack's life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:30 pm at the Chilliwack United Church45835 Spadina Ave, Chilliwack. Viewing to be held prior to the service. At his request, his body will be laid to rest at Vedder View Gardens. This will be followed by a celebration of Jack's life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jack's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Wheelchair Foundation, PO Box 75038, White Rock, BC V4B 5L3

Arrangements under the direction of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, Chilliwack, BC.

"It seems like yesterday Jack, Donna and Jill were here in the north hunting for Diamond willow and enjoying the great outdoors with family. Jack may be gone..." Chris Balla (Inuvik, NT)
