John Adam Baca, 56, born June 11, 1956, in Pueblo to the union of Adam and Barbara Baca; and went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012. He is survived by wife, Carmela; children, Virginia Baca, Sherrie Martinez, Tessie (Dustin) Martinez, Leslie (Nolan) Martinez, Ronnette, Latasha, and Juanito; six grandchildren; parents; brother, Anthony; sisters, Roberta Baca and Debra (John) Arellano; mother-in-law, Julia Rivas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Albert and Rosanna Ortiz, and father-in-law, Octavio Rivas. He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1973-1976 as a paratrooper in the 787 maintenance battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. John was an avid Bronco fan as well as all Colorado Teams, and he loved NASCAR. He enjoyed fishing, TV, and most of all, his wife's baked goods, and a Pepsi. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Good Shepherd Fellowship Church, 1216 E. Beech Street. Interment, Fort Lyon National Cemetery will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Online condolences at www.tgmccarthy.com. Under the direction of T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.

Debra...just letting you know that my mom sent me John's obituary article from the newspaper. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all our family at this time. Though we are far away and not have been in touch for a very long time..the memories are there. Our brothers have been taken away from us way too soon. Steve passed away in the year 2000 at the age of 43. It does get a little easier with time....but, sometimes it's like it was yesterday. All the memories make you feel like he could be right there with you and still do offer comfort. All my condolences. Debbie (Trujillo)Rivera
