John F. Bagley
IRMO – Graveside services with full military honors for John F. Bagley, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Bush River Gardens, Old Bush River Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Memorials may be made to Keepin' It Real Ministries, 1037 Elmwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29201.
John, born in Providence, RI, retired as an Army Chief Warrant Officer after twenty years active duty service and was a retired employee of Gregory Electric Company. As an individual, and as an active member of local churches and ministries, he was committed to provisioning and ministering to the needs of area homeless.
Predeceased by his lovely bride, Dorothy Dabbs Bagley, and grandson, Jonathan Ray Sturkie, he is survived by two daughters, Karen Y. Bagley of Greenville and Julie L. Bagley Clements (Sam) of Easley, SC; son, Keith E. Bagley of Columbia; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
