John William Bailey of Blooming Grove, NY entered into rest on July 1, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital with his family by his side. He was 79. John was born December 22, 1934 to Paul and Mary (King) Bailey. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Retired New York City Police officer of 33 years, as well as an avid coin collector. He is survived by his loving wife, Nelly R. Bailey of Blooming Grove; son, Friedrich S. Bailey also of Blooming Grove; daughters: Marylynn and her husband, Clayton Parker of Campbell Hall, NY, Kim M. Bailey of Pensacola, FL and Lesley and her husband, John Van House of...

John was born December 22, 1934 to Paul and Mary (King) Bailey. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Retired New York City Police officer of 33 years, as well as an avid coin collector. He is survived by his loving wife, Nelly R. Bailey of Blooming Grove; son, Friedrich S. Bailey also of Blooming Grove; daughters: Marylynn and her husband, Clayton Parker of Campbell Hall, NY, Kim M. Bailey of Pensacola, FL and Lesley and her husband, John Van House of Ocala, FL; grandchildren: Joseph, Danielle, Taylor, Kayla, Rowan, Bailey, Faith and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren: Kaydan and Bentley; a sister, Jane Ann Mullarkey of Bronx, NY. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 8th with a Service at 8 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home in Washingtonville, NY. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name can be made to the , PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
