John,
Last time we saw you was right before Fritz passed but I need to tell you how much you are missed. You were my big brother growing up. You were the best, from blowing up GI Joes to showing me how to shoot pellets. You always had time for us growing up. It may seem simple but you got me my first boom box as a kid and it was AWESOME! That's what I remember, the huge heart and the ooops grin while getting away with murder. The infectious school kid like glee when I got you onboard my sub. Your light heart and mischievousness' is sorely missed, to this day I am pissed you were taken from your family. Kim and Hannah Banana stayed very strong, you would've been so proud not to mention how Danny and all of Croton did you right it is with this heavy heart stuck in my throat that I try and say goodbye
All my Love Michael

You were always my one true love, we may have had our times but I never regretted having you as my husband and father of my children. There are so many friends that we have that are here for our family at this most difficult time. The outpouring of love is just incredible, you would be so proud. You touched so many people's lives even people who didn't know us personally have come up and have shown their support and love. I will love you forever and I will be with you again one day. Keep the Angels laughing. Love you my PET, me

Portable # 19, calling #16... #19 to 16.... Come in 16..... #19 to H.Q.'s, raise 16 on the air! Croton Police H.Q.'s calling 16. Come in 16 ....16.....This is the last call for 16...No response from Sgt. John C. Barirde. '16' is out of service after 26 years of dedication and service with the Croton Department. Although you are gone, you will never be forgotten, my friend. Its been my honor 'J.B' to have been your partner. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for all the laughs and memories. Truly one of Croton's Finest. Rest in Peace, my brother in blue,
I'll see you on the other side....
Jodi, Kate, Abbey, Jill and I will miss you!

Words simply cannot describe the quality of a person John was or the sadness that his passing brings. So many people who's lives you have touched are grieving but they were so very fortunate to have you sir, and they will be as strong as you would want and you would expect them to be. Our deepsest thoughts and our strongest prayers are with your rock, your soul mate Kim and with Johne and Hannah. God bless you our friend.

JB I will always remember working with you and the fun times we shared, even remember some of the not so fun times we shared at work but the good times definitely outweigh the bad. You were truly a one of a kind, a great cop, firefighter, friend and family man. You had that heart of gold which isn't easy to find in most people. Kim, Johne and Hannah you ar ein my thoughts and prayers. Till we meet again on the other side, love you brother.
