John Beadle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 24, 2013.

John "Boy" E. Beadle Jr.
February 10, 1927 – October 23, 2013

John "Boy" E. Beadle Jr., 86, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 after a courageous fight with cancer.
John is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruby Bolotte Beadle of Morgan City; three children, Michael Beadle and his wife, Diane, of Geismar, Brenda Beadle Alfred and her husband, William "Billy", of Madisonville, and Karen Beadle Wade and her husband, Raymond "Mac", of Morgan City; four grandchildren, Matthew Beadle and his wife, Morgan, Kelli Beadle, Rachel Wade, and Raymond "Peetey" Wade II and his wife, Heather; three great grandchildren, Taylor, Madeline, and Maddox Beadle; four step grandchildren, Will Alfred IV and his wife, Robyn, Shane Alfred and his wife, Rhonda, Jason Broussard and his wife, Tricia, and Beth Broussard; nine step great grandchildren; four godchildren, Louis Tamporello Jr., Cassandra Beadle Swaine, Ellen Beadle Nelson, and Pam Percle Schultz and numerous nieces and nephews.
He joyfully joined in heaven; his father, Edward John Beadle; his mother, Edna Marguerite Savoie Beadle; five sisters, Winny Beadle Fangue, Hilda Beadle, Edna Mae Beadle King, Doris Beadle Tamporello, and Ethel Beadle Stansbury; two brothers, Thomas Joseph Beadle and Carroll Adam Beadle.
John proudly served in the United State Army as a Fourth Grade Technician in the 37th Infantry Regiment stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia. While serving, John was awarded a World War II Victory Medal. After his rotation in the Army, John started his career with Sun Oil Company and there he remained and retired after 39 loyal years of service. Some of John's favorite pastimes included outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, dancing, and cooking just as much as he enjoyed eating. John was especially proud of his Louisiana culture and held a deep love for everything Cajun. His family also remembered that his favorite place outside his home state was in the Colorado Rockies. Most importantly, every grandchild of John's was his 'Favorite'.
The family requests that visitation take place Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 9am until time of services at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Monsignor Courville officiating. John will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to his caregivers, Dr. Francis Metz III and Dr. Natalie Dishman; his granddaughter-in-law, Heather Saunders Wade PAC; the Staff at both, Teche Regional Medical Center and Patterson Health Care Center; and longtime friend and brother-in-law, Jerry Theriot.
