John Dennis Bruza, Sr. entered peacefully into heaven on Sunday, April 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Alice Sullivan Bruza of 62 years and his loving son, John Dennis Bruza, Jr. Son of the late Madeline Planas Bruza and George Bruza. Brother of Helen B. McCann, Alma B. Puderer, Lois B. Hartman, June B. Longworth, George Bruza, Ronald Bruza and preceded in death by his sisters Cecil B. Monnerjahn, and Isabell B. McSpadden. Son of the late Madeline Planas Bruza and George Bruza.

Age 95, a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Metairie.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. A retired Public Service worker with the City of New Orleans. A member of the VFW Post 3267 and the American Legion Post 267. John is a lifelong member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Metairie.
