JOHN WESLEY CRESWELL, 76, of Signal Mountain went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Erlanger Health Systems Medical Intensive Care Unit. He was surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of the late Roscoe Morton "Tip" Creswell and Locie Dale Morgan Creswell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Creswell and a sister Mary Ann Creswell. He was retired from General Electric Company's Major Appliance Business Group. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church on Signal Mountain. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ruth Creswell and two sons: Charles Wayne Creswell of Louisville, Kentucky, and John David Creswell of San Francisco, California; two sisters: Linda Rogers and her husband Quinton, and Sarah Young, both of Dalton Georgia, and two nieces: Pam Kolaski and Donna Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Pinecrest Baptist Church, on Taft Highway, Signal Mountain, with the Rev. Jerry Market officiating.
The family will receive visitors from noon-2 and from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel on Highway 153 and Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at Pinecrest Baptist Church.
Interment to follow to Chattanooga Memorial Park
