Obituary

John was a resident of Prairieville and a retired Pipefitter with Local 198, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. He was 93 and a U.S. Army WW II Veteran. John enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, working on lawn mowers and tinkering with motors. He is survived by his daughter, Floyce Landry; grandchildren, Tommy and Vicky Landry, Karen and Darron Hedges, Kathy and Charlie Simoneaux and Lori and Charlie Quatrevingt; great grandchildren, Gregory Landry, Dustin and Amanda Hedges, Marissa Simoneaux and Tyler Quatrevingt; great great grandchildren, Liam Landry and Brayden and Madelyn Hedges; and his faithful companion, his dog,...

He is survived by his daughter, Floyce Landry; grandchildren, Tommy and Vicky Landry, Karen and Darron Hedges, Kathy and Charlie Simoneaux and Lori and Charlie Quatrevingt; great grandchildren, Gregory Landry, Dustin and Amanda Hedges, Marissa Simoneaux and Tyler Quatrevingt; great great grandchildren, Liam Landry and Brayden and Madelyn Hedges; and his faithful companion, his dog, "Mutt". He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma B. Dencausse; parents, Henry and Beulah Dencausse; son in law, Stanley T. Landry; and brothers, Albert and Henry Dencausse. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 10 am until services at noon. Entombment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
