I only cared for John and his wife very briefly, not even a month before Midge proceeded him. I loved being their caregiver, and it saddens me deeply that he has followed her in passing. John was a wonderful guy to talk to and always had a conversation to jump into. He will be missed.

My brother and I were frequent flyers with Dr. Drumheller's office. I remember it as a reassuring, caring place, where solutions would be found. I know my parents experienced great solace there, too. All of our thanks to your parents and glad they lived so long, and had each other for almost all of their lives.
Peace,

Doc and your mom were awesome. We were so blessed to have him as our children's pediatrician. He was the best. And I loved visiting with your mom at the office. They were truly genuinely good people and great role models. . He will be missed by many.

Brad, Robin and Family,
I send my condolences to all of you.
While I never had the pleasure of meeting your father, I now know part of the source of inspiration and example for your smiles, compassion, love of children (and adults) and commitment to one's craft.

Dear Drumheller Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We have enjoyed many stories from you all of the wonderful memories you have, and we were so happy to have met Dr. Drumheller while he was celebrating his 97th birthday in Florida. He was every bit as charming as we had imagined. May he rest in peace as he joins his beloved Midge. Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you all.

For 24 years John and Midge were our next door neighbors in Tequesta, Florida. We shared so much love, laughter, tears including borrowing sugar and milk for coffee. Our conversation's and sometimes heated arguments about life in general is what made our friendship so special.
There was one time he saved my life after I slipped and fell on wet tile, with no heart beat, breathing or pulse, he made the decision to straighten my body and he heard me take a long deep breath. He supervised the helicopter landing in the street in front of the building and my hospital stay in West palm Beach in 1991. What a great couple who we shall miss till we are reunited for eternity. Rest in peace my friend as you both share the joys of God's blessing................Captain Joseph and Suzanne Naselli

We were so blessed to have him to care for our children. I was concerned that they wouldn't eat meat & he said do they like Smith hot dogs & I said yes & he said they'll be fine! Wonderful man.

Years ago, my cousin and her husband with 6 children, and, husband laid off at GE, had taken the first born into Dr John, then sometime later the twins became ill and they took them in. Dr remarked he had not see these two before, and they replied, we can not afford to bring all six, but, these two are ill...He quietly and quickly asked if the others were in the building. Mom replied, they are in the car with their Daddy. She was prompted to get them all in, they received checkups and shots up to date. No fee...this was when a Dr could do what was needed. no questions asked and no red tape. He cared for our two children, often during that 9 am call to him, after an all night up with ear infections, he would have us bring them right in and treat them. He was one in a couple million and unheard of today. We loved you then and still our hearts grow warm when we hear your name. God Bless. Prayers for all your family and friends. Donna and Jerry Trott

Dr. Drumheller was a good man. He was my doctor in Erie when I was a child. He was gentle and expert, dealing capably with developmental changes and the occasional scare. Like Dr. Spock he would tell my mom to trust her instincts. He made me feel safe.

Another of The Greatest Generation has earned his wings and ...well earned they were! His careing nature for all with whom he came in contact will never be forgotten.
To all his family and friends, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of profound loss and sadness. May your tears shed today turn into smiles remembering the great time shared and may he rest in peace .
