Mr. John F. "Jack" Griffin, Jr., 85, of Cataumet, died Saturday, July 5, 2014. Born in Boston, Jack was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Haley) Griffin. Jack was educated in the Boston School System, and attended Boston College High School and Boston College. Following his education, Jack worked as a printer in the Boston area and Cotuit for 40 years, retiring in 2002. Jack honorably served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. John F. "Jack" Griffin, Jr., 85, of Cataumet, died Saturday, July 5, 2014.

Born in Boston, Jack was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Haley) Griffin. Jack was educated in the Boston School System, and attended Boston College High School and Boston College. Following his education, Jack worked as a printer in the Boston area and Cotuit for 40 years, retiring in 2002. Jack honorably served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Jack moved to Cape Cod from Canton in 1966, where he enjoyed spending time working in his yard and in his garden.

He was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years, Jean (Crowley) Griffin, and by his second wife of 6 years, Mary Jane (Bell) Griffin. In addition, he was predeceased by his sisters, Connie Griffin and Patricia Griffin Mulhern and his niece Susie Mulhern.

He is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and Relatives are invited to gather at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne on Thursday at 10AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd., Pocasset. Burial to follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bourne Friends Food Pantry, P. O. Box 144 Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.
