John was currently serving in the U.S. Army and served in Afghanistan in the Arghandab River Valley from May 2011 to May 2012. He attended Trinity Chapel Church. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Weaver Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday at Weaver's Chapel with Pastor Steve Fatow officiating. Following the service, we will proceed to Oak Ridge Memorial Park for the interment where John will receive full military honors.
