Uncle Jack, you were always such a big part of our childhood visits to Fall River. It was great when you and Gramma lived in the same house, we could visit Gramma and hang out with the Harts at the same time! I know how much I will miss you, so I can only assume how Aunt Joan and the kids will feel with their loss. Godspeed Uncle Jack! I know you will be there waiting to welcome all of us at heaven's gate like you did on Robeson! By the way, you do know that you were always considered the "way cool" uncle. Just so you know!

My father (Tom O'Connor) called me today and informed me that his close friend and school pal had died. I have also known Jack for a number of years and will always remember that his family was his true love as is and always will be his wife Joan. The two are inseparable. May god Bless the family in this tough time. God Bless you Jack.

Jack used to tell great stories about he and my dad growing up, and I'll always be grateful they stayed close, and that the Greenes and the Harts have remained close over the years. You are great people due, in no small part to amazing parents. Jack was truly a good one!

Carlin and Family,
As so many memories fade as time passes the one memory which stays very vivid in my mind is when I came to Fall River and spent a few days at your home. I have a fond memory of how welcome your Father and Family made me feel during that visit. I know your Dad will be sorely missed.
Please except mine and my families condolences to you and your family.

To the Hart Family, It is with great sadness that I learned the passing of your father. My prayers to the family. I knew you Dad from his Maine Corps days and as commanding officer of the 1st 155 Howitzer out of Newport R. I. Your dad was highly respected and loved by his men . If you needed to talk to someone your dad was right there. When we went to California, his orders he did not want any of his Marines going to Tijuana. Then he looked over at us crew was all from Fall River. He put his head down and brought his eyes up, as though to say I know your going to try it. He was respected and loved. I think now he is doing the duty rooster for the Marines guarding the gates. We all miss you Major and will see you.
With Respect and Admiration

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
