John E. King, Colonel, U.S. Army Retired, 92, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on November 1, 2016. He was born on February 2, 1924 in Normal, Illinois.
He was married to Mary Elizabeth Walk King for 71 years. They have one daughter, Carol (Roy) Rice of Bonita Springs, Florida, grandson Scott (Jen) Rice of Denver, Colorado, granddaughter Jennifer (John) Ashford of Naples, Florida, great grandchildren, Gavin and Lauren Rice and Mary and Emily Ashford. He is also survived by a sister, Ann Martin (Marvin) Davis of Palmyra, Indiana.
Visitation will be at Love Funeral Home, 14345 Greene St. N.E., Palmyra, Indiana 47164 on Monday, November 7 from 10-11 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. interment to follow at Palmyra Cemetery.
