John F. Kuzma, 92, of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Fremont, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 in SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN. He was born December 29, 1920 in Fremont, the son of Martin and Anna (Swiatek) Kuzma. He attended St. Joseph High School for 2 years. He entered the Civilian Conservation Corps. for three years. He later joined the United States Marine Corps. during World War II and was enlisted for three years, where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and three Air Medals. John married his first wife, Hilda (Krantz) Kuzma on April 12, 1947 at St. Ann Church in Fremont. They were married for forty-seven wonderful years. John married his second wife, Kim (Colgan) Kuzma April 22, 1995 at St. Casimir Church in Fremont. John was a tool & die maker for Herbrand (16 years), National Carbon (5 years), and Singer (22 years). He was a member of the former St. Casimir Church in Fremont, St. Therese Church in Cleveland, TN, and life member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans. John was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to camp with his family. He enjoyed fishing with sons and nephews at Whittle Lake in Ontario Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Kuzma of Cleveland, TN; children, Dorothy Kuzma of Clyde, Lucy (Patrick) Keating of Fremont, Martha (Bruce) Darr of Clyde, John P. (Pattee) Kuzma of Fremont, Daniel J. (Faith) Kuzma of Granger, IN; grandchildren, P.J. (Mariette), Jennifer, Clare, and Sarah (Alex Reineck) Keating, Lt. Gregory and Emily Darr, Kassandra and Keith Kuzma, Meredith and Adrianna Kuzma; and great-grandson, Nathanael Keating. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Hilda; infant daughter, Rose; sisters, Mary Camp and Helen Martin; brothers, Victor, Martin, and Joseph Kuzma; and infant grandsons, Jeremy and Joseph Keating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5-8pm at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont. A Mass of Resurrection will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Ann Church with Reverend Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Casimir's Endowment Fund or St. Ann Church.

Dear family...I was saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle John. I was blessed to have seen him in November of last year. I have so many great memories with him...Whittle Lake and Lake Erie fishing..but just good memories of seeing him smile! He was a great man. I have peace with it all knowing that he and all his brothers and sisters are together with their parents...I hope to see them one day too. You all are in my prayers.
