Obituary

Mr. John G. "Jack" or "Tuna" LeBlanc, age 71, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Madeline (Murphy) Leblanc. He attended Lynn Public Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. After the war, Jack made a career as an inspector for GE Riverworks where he worked for 28 years before his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club and IUE Local 201 AFL-CIO. Jack was an avid sports fan and played lots of sports. He enjoyed camping, diving, fishing,...
Mr. John G. "Jack" or "Tuna" LeBlanc, age 71, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.

Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Madeline (Murphy) Leblanc. He attended Lynn Public Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

After the war, Jack made a career as an inspector for GE Riverworks where he worked for 28 years before his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club and IUE Local 201 AFL-CIO. Jack was an avid sports fan and played lots of sports. He enjoyed camping, diving, fishing, mountain climbing, music and his yearly trips to visit family in Nova Scotia.

Jack is survived by his children; Gregory S. Leblanc and his wife Linda, Brendan J. LeBlanc and Kirsten LeBlanc. He was the Grandfather to Madeline and Cassidy LeBlanc. Jack was the brother to Leon "Butch" LeBlanc of Maine, June Cennami of Lynn and the late Dianne C. LeBlanc and his late twin sister Jill G. LeBlanc. Jack is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Kelly Alicudo. He also leaves behind his good friends Bob and Karen Redden and Cheryl Quinones as well as his furry companion Jubel.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday September 5, 2014 at 11am at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street Lynn, MA. Visitation prior to the service beginning at 9am. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Arrangements under the direction of Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, Lynn, MA.
