We met John and Nancy on a cruise only 2 years ago, but John had a way of making you feel like a dear old friend from the time we meet. We soon planned another cruise together and were welcomed into their lovely home on another occasion. All our times together were wonderful and we deeply regret that we did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing him longer. John was a true gentleman and patriot. We will always cherish our memories and photos of our short time together. We are sure John is entertaining the angles. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and the family.

John what a special person he is. We have only known him for less than 2 years, but when we moved to Spruce Creek he welcomed us as friends. He was always smiling and had a hug and a kiss for all. Rest in peace our friend and play with the angels. Love you, Mike & Judy Perrotti

Being an Oncology Nurse for almost 20 years you come in contact with many people. These people are not only patients but many become friends. One of these people would be Mr Mariani. No matter how terrible he felt he always made me smile. Even when he left I was always sent emails from him that made me smile throughout the week. I am truly blessed to have known you John and your loving wife Nancy. You both will forever be in my heart. Make sure you save me a piece of chocolate for when I see you again!

Few folks come into your life and provide such a lasting memory. John provided such memories for me and always will be my mentor, my best friend and yes the type Father every boy would want. Although not my Dad, John treated me as a son and was there to give advise whenever needed. He was great to travel with (even short trips to Ocala), however, most of my memories come from the times he would pull me from the office just to have a cup of coffee and get away from the day to day grind.
John never bragged about his time in the Army or service in Korea, however, it was a time we could reminess over and one I could understand, appreciate and most of all respect.
John was a friend to everyone he met. He was a man of his word and would defend his friends in both words as well as actions.
Nancy our prayers are with you and the family. You know we will always be here for you.

John,
There is not much more to say then you were a good man Charlie Brown. You had a great heart and always ready to plant a kiss on somebody to wish them well. I had to move away a little when I saw you coming but through it all you were always ready to either help someone or give them hell. In either case you will be missed my friend. Frank & Kip Thomas

John, both Georgette and I will miss our big brother. Time spent with you on the golf course, on board ship, or at either of our houses ensured a good time was had by all. Heaven will definitely benefit from your smile, and will surely become a little more Italian with your help.

"miss you John" Patsy and I were just talking about John' s 60th birthday party Nancy gave him out on Long Island club house and what a great time we had. We laughed all night long. I was a great party. Nancy and John were always the life of the party. Patsy and I couldnt believe that was 24 years ago!!! John had a great smile and a great way with people. WE were with Nancy when she got the call to go into the city when John got hurt on the job. The two of them had a great love for one another. He always looked great for his age. I think it was his fabulous personality. He will be missed by everybody.
