Dear Peggy and Family, What fond memories we have of you and J.E. (as we always knew him) back in Baton Rouge before you married and J.E. laid down his beautiful oboe to go off to Naval Air. He, David, Bruce and I used to sit on their front porch back in the early 1940's on Summit St. in Little Rock and play our instruments together. I can still hear J.E. playing "Stormy Weather" during a rainstorm. He lived a great and full life and is now home with the Lord. We can be comforted in knowing that we have one more great friend and loved one to greet us when we go to that great Heavenly reunion. We pray that God will bless and comfort you all.

Jay and Peggy played a very important role in my life after my mother died becoming my second set of parents. I have fond memories of family meals and still chuckle thinking about the time Jeff was telling "knock knock" jokes just before prayer and when Jay/Dad bowed his head to pray he accidentally said "knock knock." We all bust out laughing and Jay attempted to keep a straight face. Thank you for the love you shared, for the beautiful music, and for being family. Much love! Marie Schuessler Morris
