I'll always think of Papaw with that sort of wry, amused almost smile he often sported. He was always willing to listen or talk but was also just fine sitting in comfortable silence. In my humble opinion, that is one of the finest attributes a person can possess. I also love that his favorite doilies of Memaw's were the ones with some color. He will be missed but lives on in our hearts and memories.

God Bless The Romines Family during this difficult time.
My prayers & love to the entire family.
" Rest in blissful peace ; your soul is now free. This journey is one we all must take and each must go alone. It is part of the Master's plan. A Step on the road to home. You have earned your wings. What a great life story St. Peter is in for when he hears about the life you lived, the lives you made and the moments you created in thousands of peoples lives. Love is eternal and it brings everyone back together again like a lighthouse, and we are all ships in the night.

I'll miss my Uncle Curtis very much. Although he spoiled me as a child, he tried to teach me how to live right and work hard by example as he did all his life. I'm glad I got to talk with him on the telephone, the Saturday before he died. He asked about my health(knee's / arthritis / etc...) and didn't even mention that he was feeling bad which was typical of him whenever we spoke on the phone. Although he loved my aunt Fay very much, a feeling which was mutual and quiet obvious. When the two of them were together it lite up the whole room! He was a very heavy set man, but he and aunt Fay would often dance together in the den and hallway of the old home place on Old Knoxville Hwy. Their love for each other turned them into Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers when it came to ballroom dancing! After aunt Fay died he found another soul mate to share his life with my wonderful Aunt Lanelle ! I was so happy when this happened because I thought he would die from a broken heart after Aunt Fay died, who was loved dearly by everyone. Aunt Fay was a hard act to follow but Aunt Lanelle did so with the grace and style of a Southern Belle which she is, as was my Aunt Fay. I digress in this memorial to my Uncle Curtis but I'm sure he would approve as he told me himself he was very lucky to have found two such beautiful and wonderful lady's to share his life with. I'll miss you Uncle Curtis, God's Peace.
