I don't know how I could put into words, one of the best brother-in-laws a man could ever imagine. Johnny was smart and good at everything he ever did. Johnny and Tommy are more than brother-in-laws, more like true brothers. He even made me a halfway good bass and crappie fisherman. I loved Johnny for 45 years of friendship and adventures. I am certain that he is with Diane now and I pray that Holly and John, Julia, Toni, Tommy, Vickie and my wife Lou Ann will be comforted by God in this tragic loss. Johnny, you will be sorely missed by me. Rest in Peace, Brother..........Kenny

I am so sorry to hear of the news of Johnny passing away. We haven't see each other since high school, but we sure did have a blast way back then. I think about you all with such fond memories. Seems like we were a team back then, Johnny , Tommy ,Lou Ann, Vickie, Wilson, and a few more. I'll never forget all our good times and there were many. Rest in peace my old friend. John and Mary Berger

We first met John at the groom's dinner the night before John and Holly got married. It was an exciting time in the lives of the Seagles, Bergers and Shifflets. We heard a few fishing stories over the course of time but John was a modest, honest man. He didn't tell "stories" that were hard to believe and he had pictures of trophy fish as proof of his fishing ability. We did talk about this "catch and release" idea. It was difficult for us to imagine not eating the fish John caught. We thought "you catch 'em. You eat 'em." However, within a short period of time, John became a Vikings fan and loved Wisconsin cheese both endearing traits.

We believe that John is with Diane, another special person, watching over all of us. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Seagle and Berger families. God bless.

Tommy, sorry to hear of the passing of Johnny. I remember all the good times we had fishing together at Armstrong Lake with Wilson Johnson, Larry Traywick, Whistle, the Heafners, the Summits, the Wrights, Dan Robertson and Bull (my brother). We had so much fun playing ball together. I am going to miss Johnny so much at the fishing lakes. Tommy, I just want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You can lean on the Lord in times like these and know that everything will be okay and that some day we will be able to see him and talk with him. Johnny is now without sickness or pain and I am sure if there is a carp lake in Heaven we all be there fishing together again one day.

I went to Holbrook with Johnny and am so sorry to hear about your family's loss. Sports always comes to mind when I think about Johnny and all his buddies in those days, and it seemed that he rarely walked "slowly" on his way to ANYwhere. He realllllly knew how to run! My thoughts are with you all.

I want to express to the family how sorry I am to hear of your loss. I heard many stories about Tommy & Johnny Seagle and what good friends they were to my husband (Larry Traywick) growing up. Even though we have not kept in touch since Larry's passing I still remember getting to know Tommy & Johnny and realizing just how much you meant to Larry. You have my Deepest Sympathy & are in my thoughts and prayers.

This note is for the family of Johnny Seagle, but is particularly directed to Tommy. Tommy, I went to elementary school in Belmont with you and Johnny
and attended church with you at Holy Comforter. I have thought of you both many times in the intervening 50 or so years, perhaps encouraged particularly when my wife and I had identical twin sons. I am so sorry for your loss. It would be tough to lose a sibling, but I think it would be even tougher to lose a twin. Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers. Take care and the Lord be with you, my brother.

My dear sweet Daddy,
I can't believe you are gone. I know Mama was waiting on you with open arms when you entered Gods Kingdom yesterday. One of the last things you told me was that I was your best friend. That meant more to me than you'll ever know. I love you so much. I just want you to rest in peace and know that Toni and I will take care of your loyal dachshunds. You have no worries, pain or suffering any more. I guess Mama wanted a Valentines Day date and called you to be with her. Please give her a big hug and kiss and tell her how much we miss her and love her. We will keep you both in our hearts forever and flood Julia with wonderful memories of her Grinny and Paw Paw. Please watch over us and help us heal from this terrible loss!

My dear, sweet loving Daddy. I can not believe we have lost you. I know Mama was waiting for you with open arms in heaven. Now you are reunited and can spend Valentine's Day together. One of the last things you told me was that I was your best friend. You'll never know what that meant to me. I feel lost and like a little homesick baby without you two. I pray that God's grace lays his hands on our family and can help us heal from our terrible loss. We will take good care of your beloved dachshunds and you can rest in peace without any pain or suffering. Give Mama a big hug for me and tell her how much I love and miss her. You both will live forever in my heart and I will flood Julia with wonderful memories of her Grinny and Paw Paw!

I cannot express enouth how much I loved and will miss my big brother Johnny. The only thing that consoles me is that Johnny and Diane, his beloved wife, are together again. Johnny and Tommy (his twin) always looked out for me. Johnny saved my life up in the mountains when the family was on vacation. I was 4 or 5 and couldn't swim. There was a big creek behind the motel we were staying at and before we even unpacked Johnny and I were running up and down the creek. I fell in and Johnny ran beside me on the bank and pulled me out by the back of my shirt. I don't think we ever told Mama and Daddy. Johnny, Diane, Kenny and me were married only a week apart from each other. Both Diane and I wore my big sister, Vickie's, wedding dress. We had so many good times and adventures growing up together, both when we were young and married. Holly and Toni, I love you two so much. We will never take Johnny and Diane's place but please think of Kenny and me as your God Mama and Daddy. We will always be there for you two.
Love, Aunt Ludie
