STARK, John J, 81 of Largo, FL and formerly of Bloomfield, NJ passed away on Tues, March 4, 2014 at his home. John was born on July 10, 1932 in Newark, NJ to the late Henry & Elizabeth (Coburn) Stark. He moved to this area in 2004 coming from Cape May, NJ. John retired after 25 years of service from the Bloomfield Police Department as a Patrolman. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield, NJ and St. Cecelia Catholic Church of Clearwater FL. STARK, John J, 81 of Largo, FL and formerly of Bloomfield, NJ passed away on Tues, March 4, 2014 at his home. John was born on July 10, 1932 in Newark, NJ to the late Henry & Elizabeth (Coburn) Stark. He moved to this area in 2004 coming from Cape May, NJ. John retired after 25 years of service from the Bloomfield Police Department as a Patrolman. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield, NJ and St. Cecelia Catholic Church of Clearwater FL. Jack, as he was known to friends was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Bloomfield Counsel #1178, 4th degree, and the PBA of Bloomfield, NJ. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the Destroyer Class USS Stribling. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Marilyn (McKenna) Stark of Largo, 6 children Jeanne (Bill) Cronise of Liverpool, NY, Kathleen (Mark) Shannon of Morristown, NJ, John (Linda) Stark of Stockton, NJ, Maureen (Bill) Martin of Alton, NY, Thomas (Carol) Stark of Brielle, NJ and Michael (Patti) Stark of Wyckoff, NJ. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren Jim, Lorraine, Taryn, Ryan, Laura, Caitlin, Brian, Kara, Terrence, Shane, Kelsey, Bailey, Elizabeth, Meghan, Brenna, Cameron, Nichole, Keelin and Ian. Surviving also is a brother Henry (Kathleen) Stark of Brick NJ. and sister Linda Paquet of Jackson, NJ. Sister-In-Law Jeanette (John) Mullery) of Largo FL. and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Memorial contributions may be offered to the , 9365 US 19 N, Suite B, Pinellas Park, FL 33782. Friends are calling Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, Phone # 727-562-2080. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1507 Trotter Road, largo, FL 33770. Cremation will follow with Inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clearwater, FL at a later date. Condolences may be offered at www.mossfeasterlargo.com.
