John Treadway Obituary

John Herbert Treadway, 72, of Lima passed on Saturday August 15, 2015, at his residence.
On July 17, 1943 he was born in Lima, to Iris and Gladys (Rushing) Treadway and they preceded him in death. In 1983, he married Beverly (Stedke) and she survives him.
His survivors include his children, Timothy (Regina) Treadway of Florence, Alabama, Brooke (Scott) Sevitz of Lima, Matthew Treadway of Lima; his stepchildren, Ronnie Paul (Kathy) George of Amite, Louisiana, Tim (Marie) George of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee and Pam (Andy) Conley of Lima. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Ashley, Madison, Alayna, Colton, Grant, Michael, Cheryl, Josh, Tyler and Elise and seven great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Lloyd Treadway of Defiance, and his sisters, Barbara Theobald of Lima and Margaret Luke of Fort Myers, Florida three sisters-in-law, Nancy (Ernie) Davis, Sue Rex and Elaine Menefey..
He was preceded in death by the following siblings, George, Eldon, Billy and Lorena Mae Treadway.
John was employed with Superior Coach for 16 years as an Assembler and he retired from Lima Tank Plant. He valiantly served his country in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the 49-53 Ford Mercury Association, Early Ford V8 Club and the AACA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Dottie Kaiser officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be Thursday, August 20 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Putnam County Hospice and Allen County VA.
