John Wall, 79, of East Brainerd, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Blue Ridge, GA, he was the son of the late James and Mary Wall. He was a four year Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Walter A. Wood Supply Company. He was also a member of the Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church where he was a retired Deacon. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years Jackie; three daughters, Debbie (Ken) Waldrop, Vicki (Jeff) Cox of Chattanooga and Amy (David) Ives, Signal Mountain; four grandchildren, Whitney Waldrop, Ryan and Katie Cox and Tate Ives; brother, Marty Wall, Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Roop officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. A special thank you to all of the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga and a very special thank you to Jason and Ruby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga; Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 8214 E. Brainerd Road.

I sure loved Mr. Wall. He was a great neighbor and friend. I will never forget his smiling face and hearing his fishing stories. I can picture him and my dad (John) just talking on the carport or in the driveway. Now they can enjoy heaven together. Love you all and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
