To Johnathan Edward Hall life was to be lived happy and stress free. He always found a way to turn any negative situation into a positive one. To everyone around him, he seemed to be eternally happy, and he willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life he touched. He was a selfless person, willing to help anyone in need. For him friendship was not based on race, ethnicity, gender or age. For Johnathan, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile or a clever remark, and with just those simple gestures, he could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Born to his parents, Keith Alexander Slack (who preceded him in death), and Lisa Anne Hall McNeil on September 26, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was raised by his step father James R. McNeil and his mom Lisa. Johnathan found Christ at an early age. He was baptized on September 1, 1996 at Unity Baptist Church. Johnathan attended Lee Antonello Elementary School, Theron Swainston Middle School, and Mojave High School at where he participated in marching band and graduated in 2002. His most recent employment was with the Educational Testing Service.
Johnathan is survived by his mother, Lisa Anne McNeil, stepfather, James R. McNeil of Las Vegas, NV; four children, daughters, Aaliyah LaShae Keel-Hall, Amya Renee Hall and Alysha Lorraine Hall: one son Johnathan Edward Hall Jr. all of Las Vegas, NV. He also leaves behind his brother Christopher James McNeil of N. Las Vegas, NV, Great Grandmother, Geneva Smith of Greenville, SC; Grandparents John and Annie Hall of N. Las Vegas, NV; Leo and Ethel Barr of South Carolina; Four Aunts Karen Hall Johnson, Jacqueline Hall of Las Vegas, NV, Kisha Grant and Wanda Campfield of South Carolina; two uncles Kenny Smith of Greenville, SC and Barry McNeil of North Carolina; Cousins Victoria Parker, Kayla and Brandi Johnson all of Las Vegas, NV; Jamar Gibson of South Carolina; Godparents, Eric and Connie Dabney and a host of family and friends living across the United States.
