Johnny Earl "Little Papa" Obituary

Johnny Earl Stone" Little Papa", 71, of Reidsville, formerly of Glynn and Brantley County, passed away Sunday at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Born in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Lawrence David Stone and the late Mattie Irene Stone. Mr. Stone attended Glynn Academy. He worked for Hercules for twenty nine years as a Chemical Operator. Mr. Stone was a volunteer Fireman, and had a passion for fishing, and car racing.
Survivors include his best friend Rose Towery of Reidsville, Ga; son Gary Stone and wife Gail of Bethlehem, Ga; Six grandchildren Jessica and Joshua Stone of Bethlehem, Ga., Gary Zanders of Summerville, S.C., Christina Heddleson, of Darien, Ga., Reign King of St. Mary's , Ga. and Amanda Perez of Alpharetta, Ga; nine great – grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, with Bishop Andy Young officiating, with interment to follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Serving pallbearers are Todd McCoy, Jimmy Zeigler, Tim Partin, Tony Hicks, John Googe, and Fred Parson.
Honorary pallbearer will be Buck McCoy, Charles White, Dr. Mallory Smith, and the Atkinson and Waynesville Volunteer Fire Department Staff.
Family will receive friends 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to the Johnny Earl Stone Memorial Fund at Bank America.
