Jordan Charles Bordelon, 22, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Valdosta, Georgia. A graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Elementary School, Jordan attended and graduated from St. Michael the Archangel High School. During his four years at SMHS, Jordan, also referred to as "Jtrain" by his teammates, played a number of sports including cross country, soccer and track for which he received the Warrior Tradition award. Upon graduation, Jordan entered in the United States Air Force in which he served a tour of duty in Iraq and and another in Afghanistan and was stationed at Moody Air Force Base. Affectionately known on the base as "Radio" his service awards include: The NATO medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Short tour, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award and the Air Force Medal Achievement Medal. Jordan was known for his wonderful sense of humor, his outgoing personality, and his extraordinarily fit physical condition. He leaves behind his father Jonny Bordelon, mother Jacqualine Fa-Kouri Bordelon, younger brother Jacob Bordelon; grandmothers: Grammie Dot Bordelon, Patricia "Momo Pat" Perkins Fa-Kouri, and "Gran Sue" Sue Fa-Kouri Broussard; uncles: David Fa-Kouri, Kenny Fa-Kouri, and Andy Lechuga; aunts: Angela Fa-Kouri, Jeanie Lechuga, Joy Bordelon, and Julie Knickerbocker; and numerous cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9am until a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. A fellowship gathering will immediately follow at Greenoaks Life Celebration Center. All are invited to attend.

I just found out about Jordan today... I am so sorry for your loss. I know you were so proud of Jordan and all his accomplishments and I am going to be praying for you and the rest of your family that God will give you a peace that surpasses all understanding.
I am truly sorry that I didn't hear about the services in time to attend, because I would have been there for sure.
Stay in touch friend and, again, my deepest condolences to you all.
