Jose M. Zertuche, 84, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Northeast Methodist Hospital. He was born to Alfonso Zertuche, Sr. and Enriqueta Hernandez in San Antonio, Texas on May 7, 1933. Jose was a veteran of the Korean War proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1956.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Anthony Zertuche and wife Sylvia; daughter, Jo Angeli Kasper and husband Paul; and son, Jon Andrew Zertuche and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Angelica, Sandy, Michelle, Brenda, Crystal, Guadalupe, Christine, Michael, Jo Hanna, Joseph, Jennifer, Jillian; 23 great-grandchildren; cousins, Manuel Zertuche and wife Cecilia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Esther Zertuche; and brother, Alfonzo Zertuche, Jr.
A Service of Committal and placement of his urn will be held in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:45 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 Memorial Contributions may be given in his memory to Hill Country Young Marines. Arrangements under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
