STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Joseph C. Arcolio, 64, of Oakwood, a master locksmith and a loving family man, died Monday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze. The lifelong Staten Islander was born and raised in Rosebank and graduated from McKee High School. He moved to Great Kills in 1975 and settled in Oakwood in 2011. Mr. Arcolio served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1969 to 1971. He was a master locksmith and had been wroking for more than 20 years at AAA Locksmith in Manhattan. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to Atlantic City, playing scratch-off games. He especially doted on his granddaughter. ...
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Joseph C. Arcolio, 64, of Oakwood, a master locksmith and a loving family man, died Monday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.

The lifelong Staten Islander was born and raised in Rosebank and graduated from McKee High School. He moved to Great Kills in 1975 and settled in Oakwood in 2011.

Mr. Arcolio served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1969 to 1971.

He was a master locksmith and had been wroking for more than 20 years at AAA Locksmith in Manhattan.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to Atlantic City, playing scratch-off games. He especially doted on his granddaughter.

"We will always remember him as a selfless, loving family member," said his sister, Patricia Gass.

Also surviving Mr. Arcolio are his longtime companion, Cynthia Chirichella; his stepson, Michael Chirichella; his stepdaughter Susan Chirichella; his sister, Carol Sandoval, and a granddaughter.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
