BENITEZ-Joseph Raymond Sr. of East Boston on October 5, 2011. Beloved son of the late Ramon Benitez and Mercedes Mordaunt. Loving husband of Margaret (Panto) Benitez. Treasured father of Joseph Raymond Benitez Jr of East Boston and the late Mercedes Anne Benitez. Precious grandfather of Brittany Marie Forlizzi and Christina Lynn Kjersgard. Dear brother of the late Fielicity Ventura and Mildred Hicks. Also survived by his loving nephew Pierce J. Power. Funeral from the Rapino Memorial Home, 9 Chelsea St. (Maverick Sq.) EAST BOSTON on Saturday at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, corner of Brooks and Paris St., East Boston at 11am. The family will receive visitors TODAY from 4-8pm. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Late Sgt. Major of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War; he received 2 Bronze Medals and the Joint Service Commendation Medal.
